Online Grocery Shopping

In a study conducted by the MasterCard newsroom, 54% of consumers purchased more groceries since the beginning of the pandemic. Considering my product is still in its early phases, I was open to exploring prospects in online shopping products. We interviewed 3 regular online shoppers on their needs, inconvenience, and why and how they use online apps to order groceries.

Key Findings

Regular shoppers purchase in small quantities to prepare a recipe or items the house needs during the day. They use their mobile apps to order certain groceries like frozen or canned groceries, not to buy raw groceries. Most products may place too much focus on expanding their activity We found opportunities for developing a product with an emphasis on grocery freshness.

Recommendations

Our new product should prioritize establishing a positive reputation, whether through social media or the app store Things to consider:

● Every customer experience matters.

● The application should not rely just on commercial

marketing and promotions; rather, client feedback is the

most important aspect in establishing the application's

    reputation.

● The product should ask the users kindly from time to time if they’re satisfied with the app’s services and rate it.
